  Otis Victor Edelbrock Sr. was inducted in to the National Midget Auto Racing (NMARHoF) Hall of Fame. Three other’s were inducted this year: Floyd Alvis, Danny Caruthers and Crocky Wright.

  Achieved: 1977

  Otis Victor Edelbrock Sr. was inducted in to the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Hall of Fame. Vic was the only person to be inducted this year.

• Achievement: One Horsepower Per Cubic Inch

  Achieved: 1958

  Edelbrock becomes the first to achieve one horsepower per cubic inch. Using a new 1958 283 cubic inch Chevy engine with the Edelbrock X1 (Cross) ram six-carburetor manifold and six Stromberg 97 carbs on pump gas the record was made when the dynamometer reported 284 horsepower.
