Valeo

About: Valeo is an automotive industry supplier that is currently focusing on technology for smart systems and fuel efficiency. Founded in 1923 they began by manufacturing brake linings under the name Société Anonyme Française de Ferodo. It was 1980 when they rebranded as Valeo and the early 2000’s when their focus on technology really took hold. Valeo’s entry into supercharging came in 2011 when they acquired electric supercharger technology in the Variable Torque Enhancement System from the British company Controlled Power Technologies. In 2016 the compressor they developed from this technology was implemented in the Audi SQ7 with its twin turbo and electric supercharger. That same year Valeo won a PACE award for the technology.
