Company Type: Manufacturer, Kit Builder

About: Paxton has been a supporter and innovator of the centrifugal supercharger since the late 1930’s. By the 1950’s they were offering the VS57/VR57 belt driven blow-through unit that was a factory/dealer option on the Ford Thunderbird, Ford Fairlane, the Studebaker Golden Hawk and Kaiser Manhattans. Along with OEM support they also provided aftermarket supercharger kits for the Corvette, Chrysler’s 300C and for various Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile and Edsels. Paxton became synonymous with Mustang when they teamed up with Shelby on projects like the 1996 – 1968 Shelby GT-350, the 1967 GT500 “Little Red” which used a Paxton pump on the big block Ford 428.
